To visit Venice, guests can use the hotel shuttle to/from Venice - Piazzale Roma or take bus 53 (stop 200 meters from the hotel). Both stop in Piazzale Roma, the car terminal and starting point for your walking or ferry tour of the most beautiful and acclaimed sites of Venice: St. Mark's square, the Rialto bridge, the Gallerie dell'Accademia, etc.
Downtown Mestre is easy to reach from the Hotel Villa Dori on bus 9 that stops in front of Villa Dori. A pleasant stroll along the Piazza Feretto with its unusual elongated form leads to the characteristic Torre dell'Orologio, the only one left standing of the ancient Medieval castle. Cinemas, theaters, boutiques, restaurants and coffee houses enliven the square and environs both day and night. |

We suggest guests use the transfer service provided by the Hotel Villa Dori (at a charge) with a convenient minibus with 8 seats. Any transfer has to be booked at least 48 hours in advance.
BY PLANE:
From the Marco Polo Venice airport (20 Km):
We suggest our guests to book the Hotel Villa Dori transfer service. A hotel car will pick you up directly at the airport.
With ACTV public buses: take bus n.15 until Venezia-Mestre Railway,once there change with number 9 "Ca'Sabbioni". The bus stops exactly in front of the hotel Villa Dori (1 stop before the last one).
Please note that the last n.9 bus from Venezia-Mestre Railway is at 20:00 and the 1 EUR ticket has to be bought at the newsagent.
From the San Giuseppe Treviso airport (35 Km):
Take the ATVO - Eurobus shuttle to Mestre and get off at the Mestre train station. Here you can use the hotel's transfer service or take ACTV bus 9 to Ca'Sabbioni which stops in front of the Hotel Villa Dori.
Please note that the last n.9 bus from Venezia-Mestre Railway is at 20:00 and the 1 EUR ticket has to be bought at the newsagent.
BY TRAIN:
It's very important to get off from the train at VENEZIA-MESTRE and NOT at VENEZIA-S.LUCIA station. The Hotel Villa Dori transfer service will pick you up directly at the Mestre station or you can take ACTV bus 9 to Ca'Sabbioni which stops in front of the Hotel Villa Dori (1 stop before the last one).

BY CAR:
From the highways, after the toll booth continue on the ring road and get off at Marghera-Ravenna. At the roundabout, follow directions for Ravenna. Continue for about 2 km to another roundabout where you should take the first exit for Mirano-Spinea. After few km, at the 1st traffic lights, turn left and you will enter Ca' Sabbioni. You're here! The Hotel Villa Dori is at # 213, on your left. |
